Artwork Description
"Tranquil Tides" is a 3D wearable hand accessory inspired by the quiet majesty of the ocean. The design evokes the interplay between movement and stillness, featuring fluid, wave-like structures intertwined with rugged, wind-eroded rock formations. The piece explores the yin-yang concept, balancing the ocean’s gentle ebb and flow with the solid permanence of stone—an embodiment of harmony in contrast.
By utilizing heat-shrink sheets and recycled plastics, the artwork highlights the delicate balance between human creation and environmental preservation. Fishing lines add an ethereal, almost invisible connectivity between elements, mirroring the ocean’s unseen currents. The hand-sculpted components emphasize the fluidity of organic forms, while layered textures and translucent blues evoke the shifting tides and refracted light of deep waters.

Artist Statement
"Tranquil Tides" is an exploration of serenity amidst chaos. Inspired by the ocean’s ever-changing nature, I sought to capture the delicate equilibrium between motion and stillness, imperfection and beauty. Like the tides, we are constantly in flux—learning, adapting, and finding balance in our own rhythms. This piece is a quiet reminder to pause, breathe, and embrace the imperfect harmony of life. — Sasa
